Fruit & Vegetables – if you are up in Torre da Marinha visiting the Fire Extinguisher shop or FS Moto go in the morning. Then you are very close to a covered market [Tuesday to Saturday] which has very good produce and also a range of fish and meat. Especially look out for the stall run by Celestine and Antonia – charming ladies with the best selection – including persimmons [Sharon fruit?] from their own trees which are WONDERFUL – very soft, eat them on the same day. Also an outdoor market selling every cheap thing!

There is a kick boxing gym [Studio Fitness Center] near here with a really good physiotherapist – I know, Manuel got me walking again after a nasty cycle accident.
Also, in Torre da Marinha, a mall, Rio Sul, with useful franchises like printers as well as a better supermarket. You can get there on a 112 or 195 bus from Tagus Yacht Center.

As an alternative to the ferry, Foguteiro station just behind Rio Sul has direct trains to Lisbon.
